‘Vanijya Mahotsav’ rekindles collective enthusiasm amongst Maharashtra's exporters at Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav 2021

‘Vanijay Utsav’ conclave focused on economic growth, especially promotion of exports from India to commemorate the 75th year of India's Independence. The event was conducted on 21st and 22nd September 2021 Government of Maharashtra in association with Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) inaugurated the two-day State level ‘Vanijay Utsav’ at World Trade Centre. While on 24th of September 2021, the event was conducted in 36 districts of Maharashtra. The aim was to bring together all the relevant stakeholders under single roof to discuss the progress made in exports from Maharashtra. The event showcased export potential, conducted panel discussions to discuss issues faced by exporters and focused on strategies to improve export scenario from the State to create ‘One District One Product (OPOD).

Aditi Tatkare, Hon. Minister of State (Industries & Mining) GOM, Shri. Sanjay Shah, Convener Dimond Panel, GJEPC, Shri Baldev Singh, Hon. Addl. Chief Sec. (Industries), GOM, Dr. Harshadeep Kamble, DC (Industries) and Comm. (Exports) embraced the event with their presence along with other Honourable Dignitaries and delegates. The event represented key export promotion measures to position ‘Maharashtra as an Export Hub’ and how it will play a pivotal role in India's Trade ecosystem.
